Trend / Simple w. White Shirt

White shirts have long been a classic staple piece. But lately, minimalistic outfits have become increasingly popular, and the humble white shirt has played a big role. So how do Stardolls wear this trend?

Re-Style

As usual, I picked 3 dolls who rocked the trend, and created my own outfit inspired by theirs.

neon.swift inspires with a bold pop of red. Her outfit is largely made up of limited pieces, while mine is half starcoins and otherwise regular brand pieces. I ended up using a basics tee without a slogan, as I just couldn't find any that suited both my personality and the aesthetic. I did purposefully choose a shorter, more balloon shaped pant as it was more me than a long pant. The bag I chose simply because it was red and I already owned it, though I do think the shape works well. I chose a starcoin pair of white shoes that had a similarly shaped pointed toe, and a sheer turtleneck with a different design since I didn't want to buy an expensive one. I really like how this turned out, even if it is a lot simpler than my usual style.

wikach is also all in brand gear, so I tried once again to make a more budget friendly version. I couldn't find any shirts similar to hers for a reasonable amount, so I went with a blouse that I already own that I felt fit the formal vibe. My shoes are actually Academy task freebies, and while they do look at lot like hers, I actually don't like them that much, but there's surprisingly few options of boots at that height, let alone with a zipper detail. I switched out the bag for a black Wild Candy one.

Overall, I think this is just one of those looks where more money means a better outcome, as despite several attempts I just couldn't get my look to be quite as stylish as hers without breaking the bank.

Nixme breaks the mold with a very affordable outfit, including and Academy task shirt which I also own and quite like. I kept a similar tone of loose pants, though mine have cuffs. I also swapped out the strappy stiletto shoes for platforms, which are more my style, but kept the silver element.

Overall, I'm quite impressed with both of our looks for being so simple yet so chic on a low budget, though I did keep wondering if I shouldn't add a bag to my outfit.

My Style

Minimalism definitely goes against most of my own styling instincts, so it was a fun challenge to come up with simple, basic outfits at all. I do like what I came up with eventually though!
