Trend / Cropped Jackets

Despite it's apparent popularity in the real world, cropped jackets have been kept on the down-low on Stardoll. But given the upcoming Regular Brands season, I expect we'll  be seeing more of them very soon.

Re-Style!

I found three stylish dolls using the trend, and used them as inspiration to create my own versions.

jennytype's edgy outfit ended up with a more femine touch with my restyle. I decided to use an open jacket rather than hers, despite owning it myself, as a point of difference. I imrpovised with the shirt entirely, though aimed to keep similar colours. For the skirt, I wanted to keep the yellow and show off the leggings like she did, but ended up using a very different shape and shade. The shoes are fairly similar in comparison, as are the leggings, and we both avoided accessorizing.

misstiinkermiss' outfit is completely different, mixing light-toned nreutrals with classic plaid. For the jacket, mine is a slightly darker shade of pale nude than hers, but a fairly similar shape. We both have sweetheart neckline bustiers. I wanted to have a similarly shaped plaid, but ended up with a very different skirt shape and colour pallete - though it did match the neutral tones quite well. For boots, I we both have tall, off-white textured pairs, though the texturing is different.  I also wanted to incorproate the flower crown, though mine ended up being a lot louder and pink. The final touch, the bracelets and necklaces, are similar but not identical. Once again, neither have bags.

missbumbum7 has another edgy outfit, but in her case it is the green jacket and backpack that provide the interest. I used a very differently shaped pair of pants and jacket, but kept similar textures and tones in both. I assed lace for my undershirt singlet since I felt it added the texture I lacked without having fur. My backpack was very different as I dodn't own any like hers, but I tried to keep the brown tones and face aspect. The shoes are very similar, though not identical.

My Style!

I made two looks entirely of my own - one embracing the natural grunge aesthetic of cropped jackets, and the other going hard-core kawaii for a contrasting effect.
