Trend / polka

In perhaps the most unexpected twist this season, polkadot print has made a huge splash in the real world runway scene - and of course, it was inevitable that Stardoll members would jump on the trend too.

Staplaza Picks:

Thanks to the explosion on the Runway corresponding with the latest releases, plus plenty of old classics, there's no lack of polkadots in the plaza.

Blouse

Personally, I'd class this more as a jacket! The colours are a reverse of the standard white-on-black polka dot, which makes for an interesting effect, and it's a great item for layering - or as KendriBoy  shown, can be worn just on it's own!

Top

These black-on-black polka dots are a much more subtle way of presenting the print, for those who don't love drama. There's also a matching pant for extra spice.

Dress

MalaDeizy showed just one way this dress could be styled - but there's dozens more. They yellow is very much on trend, but subtle enough that I expect this slip will be useful for a long time.

My Styling

For the first outfit, I decided to lean into my usual style and layer it up with plenty of texture and other prints, making the polka dot more of an addition than a feature.

For the second outfit, I was inspired by the three featured dolls, and incorporated the yellow, layered dresses, and of course the Yellow Polka Dot Dress for a summery outfit.
