SD VS SC: Pink Edition

 1: Army Tones

For the first outfit, I meshed practical military style with femme colours and textures.

The starcoin outfit has great tones, and all of the items have a similar base tone to them, making them look great together. The top lacks texure, besides the lettuce hem, but the realistic assymetric waistband and many details on the pants make up for it, as do the detailed lace up boots.

The stardollar outfit looks very odd colour wise, as the base tones are totally different. The top has a knit texture, but otherwise looks just as flat as it's counterpart. The pants are palms instead of camo, with a wider leg, and while I like the  concept, they're very flat and weirdly shiny looking, which I absolutely hate. The shoes are also a metallic, though at least shoes are supposed to be shiny, they lack the details of their counterparts.

In the end, it's an easy with for the Starcoin outfit.

2: Cozy Jeans

Jeans and sweaters are a great lazy day staple - just throw on some boots and a bag and you're ready to go!

The Starcoin outfit has a much duskier colour top, and it's slightly longer, with the zip done up. The pants are longer, but flatter-looking, and are very stiff in shape. The bag has more detail, and I personally prefer where it sits on the doll's body. The boots are less shiny, and shorter, but look nearly identical otherwise.

The Stardollar outfit's top is a peachier tone, and it has a much more dynamic shape with the way the zip opens at the neck. The pants are also much more detailed and far less stiff. The boots, however, are nearly identical, while I dislike the bag's shaping and mix of gold and silver.

Overall, these outfits are a tie - I far prefer the SC accessories, sd pants, and the tops are a tie.

3: Lazy Glam

Throw a sweater over slacks and grab some heels - we're going shopping in these outfits.

The Starcoin outfit features a much plainer, paler, sleeveless turtleneck, which works better layered under fitted tops but doesn't make any difference under cardigans and jackets. The white cardi is also much simpler, with no texturing or much movement. The pants are cuter, with an easier to style white stripe and nicely fitted ankles. The shoes are basic, but do add a touch of glam with metallic details.

The Stardollar outfit features a much darker, more detailed turtleneck with sleeves. The jacket is far more dynamic, both in shape and texture, but the pants just look badly fitted and the brown stripe is plain ugly. The shoes are jut purely plainer, with no detailing, but that does make them easier to pair with other outfits.

Besides the ugly pants, I'll give this win to the Stardollar outfit.
