4 Unexpected Ways To Style Patterned Leggings

Tights, leggings, and overly tall socks can be difficult enough to style when plainly coloured, but seem to become extremely challenging when they're patterned! Today, I'll share some of the ways that I enjoy wearing patterned tights, and hopefully inspire you to do the same.

The Adventurous: Sheer Dresses

Sheer dresses with a print or texture add a lot of depth and fun to an outfit. Pairing them with printed tights may seem like a crazy move, but it's easier and cooler than you'd think!

I matched the theme of the leggings - light florals and dark stars for the mannequins, and polka dots on my doll  - with their respective dresses, and then added the shirts and accessories that matched the colours in the leggings.

The Classic: Ripped Jeans

Bold patterns placed under jean holes can give a fun pop of texture and colour, while turning a usually transitional season item into one fit for colder weather. Don't forget to match your shirts, jackets, and accessories with either the print or jeans!

The Cool Girl: Black with Bold Boots

Bold boots make a statement on their own, and Little Black Dresses or Little Black Sets are classic cool cool girl pairings. But why not add a little fun and flitryness with printed leggings hidden between your hemline and boot top?

The Lazy: Sweater Dresses

Sweater dresses are textile and fun, but can often look a little boring when worn alone. Since they're the perfect throw-on item, easy-wear leggings are the perfect pairing, and patterned ones will give your outfit more depth.

How will you wear your patterned leggings?
