Trend / Layered Black Bustier

Black bustiers have been extremely popular lately, especially the recently released one in It Girls which costs starcoins. A particular way of styling stands out above the rest though - layering them on top of other shirts!

RE - STYLE

As usual, I found three dolls who styled this trend and made my own versions inspired by their stylings.

alexandra012 layered her bustier with a blue pinstriped blouse. Mine is a more afforable starcoin version. She used shiny, black, wide legged pants, and I decided to add my own style to that by using a printed pair. Her tiny green bag is a designer brand, but I wanted to better match my pants (and save some money!) so went for a blue starcoin bag instead. She used white pointed shoes, while I decided to go for a black pointed pair to not distract from my louder pants. I also went for a simpler necklace.

I really love my own mix of the heart print pants and stripe top, but I also love the much more glam layered necklaces of alexandra012, nd I'm really glad I tried this one out.

Misskoukla2010 has a rather designer brand, heavily textured look of brown and black. Mine is significantly cheaper!  We both have the same boots, which were fairly affordable, but her skirt is a tribute while mine is a freebie. Her tank top is the same as that used by alexandra012 , but I decided to switch to a freebie version which was a better tone for my skirt. Her turtleneck and leggings were expensive, while mine was a one-piece from Vinyl. Her fur was a tribute, while mine is an ancient It Girls piece. I absolutely love her bag but it was well beyond my budget, so I made to with a different brown crossbody.

No question here, Misskoukla2010's look is vastly superior, but it has inspired me to start using my fur pieces a little more often!

rockyblue70 is loud, floral, and multi-layered.

My Style

Part way through writing this post, I gave my doll a face makeover!

For my first outfit, I was inspired by the mostly monochrome outfits used by the featured dolls, however, I threw in a very lightwashed jean from a recent release, tied the chocker style in with the pant bow, and added my own personal touch with an oversized beret.

For my second outfit, I wanted the bustier to blend in, and decided to use a very loud, floral printed top. I added orange and purple items to highlight those colours in the skirt. I kept the shapes classic, to contrast with the first look, but decided on socks and boots to match the edgy vibe of the bustier.
