Leather jackets are nothing new - but leather clad legs are a little more unusual, and lately, they've taken Stardoll's spotlight page by storm!
RE-STYLE
As usual, I chose three dolls who rocked the trend, and created three of my own outfits inspired by their style!
Paulinae mixes edgy and feminine in this flirty look with leather cutoffs. I used the same pants and fishnets, but decided on a more monochromatic look, and used a white fluffy sheer blouse. I went for a larger bag with texture, as it tied in better, ditched the glasses as it didn't make sense with my wig, and kept the platforms but in white for my shoes.
I really love both of these looks, though Paulinae definitely captures the feminine side more than I did.
tchiq01 is a rock chic, and I did my best to make a much lower-budget version! My jacket is cheaper, with no pose, but has a similar aesthetic and length. I used a starcoin tee with similar colours and shaping, plus the same shorts and socks as she used. I switched out the boots, the only thing that's more expensive on my outfit, because I didn't own the same ones and felt they added the texture my look missed out on with the jacket. I skipped the choker given my jacket has a collar. My leggings are much darker but a fraction of the price.
Overall, I find tchiq01's look far more striking. I do like how mine turned out well enough, I just feel it's lacking a bit of 'wow' factor in comparison.
cone_creww mixes bold pink extras with a black and white base. Once again, mine is the budget version! I decided to swap to orange to put more of my own personality into it as well. I went for a blazer, albeit a very different shape, used nearly identical - but not the same - pants. My lace top is more of a crop than her bodysuit just due to it being what I owned, while I chose to switch out open toed shoes for pointed ones for personal taste. I tried to echo the bag by using another large white one with a chain handle, though the textures are very different. Again, I ditched the glasses.
I love both looks equally - I think cone_creww pulled off office sexy in a way I'm a bit too shy for, but I also love orange and pointed shoes too much to part with either!

MY STYLINGS:
I decided to pull out two more pairs of leather pants, which I hadn't seen any other dolls wearing.
For the first look, I kept it classic with a belt bag, navy blue, and lots of texture. I wanted to make it look timeless while still staying trendy. It's a lot plainer and paired-down than I usually go, but sometimes it's good to do something simple.
For the second look, I grabbed a current trend - neon - and added in a trend I haven't seen so much lately - dresses over pants. The new silk dress was the perfect shape to highlight the leather and lacing detail on the pants, while still being a dress. I'm honestly so proud of this outfit as it's just so unusual ad out there, but I feel it really captures the street style I love.
